How it works

The 한/영 keyboard toggle problem

Korean computers use a two-mode keyboard. Press the 한/영 key and you switch between Hangul input and English/QWERTY input. If you forget to switch and type a Korean word in English mode, each Korean character maps to its QWERTY key position. The result is a consistent, predictable string that search engines have learned to interpret — Google and Naver now route these misspelled searches to the correct tool.
